DESCRIPTION

Williamsburg County School District of Kingstree, South Carolina contracted Brownstone Construction Group to conduct a facilities study to examine the conditions of all school buildings in the county-wide school district. There are sixteen (16) school campuses and two district office complexes within the WCSD system, serving about 5,300 students, teachers and administrators. There was a total of approximately 1.2 million square feet of building space. BCG reviewers toured and assessed the conditions of all facilities to examine the overall conditions of buildings and grounds to include building operations, materials and systems. Cost estimates were provided with associated recommendations to allow the Owner to make financial arrangements to address future plans to streamline the Districts operations and consolidate schools in order to reduce operating costs for the School District.
