DESCRIPTION

Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five of Orangeburg, South Carolina contracted Brownstone Construction Group to conduct a facilities study to examine the conditions of all school buildings in the school district. There are fifteen (15) school campuses and two district office complexes within the OCSD5 system, serving about 7,000 students, teachers and administrators. Brownstone Construction Group reviewers toured and assessed the conditions of all facilities to examine the overall conditions of buildings and grounds to include building operations, materials and systems. At the request of the Owner, input by each school principal was included in the final report in an effort to have more inclusivity among personnel at the school building level. Cost estimates were provided with associated recommendations to allow the Owner to make financial arrangements to address future plans to streamline the Districts operations and consolidate schools in order to reduce operating costs for the School District.
