HODGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
DESCRIPTION
A replacement school for the existing Hodge Elementary School, the new facility is 90,000 square feet with the capacity to serve over 500 students. The school was built on the existing DeRenne Middle School campus. The tilt-wall school is based on a prototype design identical to the completed Pulaski and Gadsden Elementary Schools in the Savannah-Chatham County School District. The new facility contains spaces for Grades Pre-K through 5th Grade, a Media Center, Cafeteria, Computer Labs, Gymnasium and other support spaces. The project also included associated site work, utility connections, landscaping and irrigation. Careful coordination was incorporated into the project to avoid disruptions in the adjacent community.
