DESCRIPTION
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) selected Robins & Morton/Cumming/Brownstone as the Construction Manager at Risk to provide preconstruction and construction services for the new $385 million Medical University of South Carolina Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Women’s Pavilion located on the MUSC Campus in Charleston, South Carolina. The facility, just south of the Campus’ Ashley River Tower, opened to the public in January 2020. The new facility offers 200 beds and includes a neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, labor and delivery unity, special care nursery, children’s emergency services, women’s services, and other specialties. This state-of-the-art building will transform how care is delivered to children and women.
