HAUT GAP MIDDLE SCHOOL
DESCRIPTION
Haut Gap Middle School, a 77,000 square foot middle school built to serve 450 students in the Johns Island community, is complete. The new facility was constructed in the rear play area of the occupied existing campus. During the completion of the project, precautions were in place to avoid conflict with students and instruction. The new 2-story building designed by Gantt Huberman Architects of Charlotte, NC houses 6th through 8th Grades. The building project was completed in January 2010 while the demolition of the existing school was finalized in June 2010.
